The MCD Internship Experience
Ricky Johanet is a student at Columbia College Chicago majoring in Marketing Communication with a concentration in Advertising. He is scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2012 and already has had three internships. Currently he is an intern at Digitas Chicago, an integrated advertising agency, as a copywriting intern. His past two internships include Euro RSCG Chicago, an integrated marketing and advertising agency, from September 2010 to May 2011 and The San Jose Group, an advertising agency, from June 2010 to September 2010.
Originally from the north suburb Norridge, Illinois, Johanet came to Columbia for the Marketing Communication/Advertising program, which he describes as having “a nice balance between the creative and business sides of advertising.” Johanet participates in Ad Club and is apart of the Ad Practicum where he helped the team take 8th place at the 2011 National Student Advertising Competition Nationals competition after competing against more than 150 schools.
